Miss Alicia Wenrich
Hey there Culture Shock Families, My Name is Alicia Wenrich. It has been a pleasure getting to know all the families who come to the dance studio while working the front desk for the last 3 years, but did you know I can dance too?!
I started dancing when I was 3 years old and continued until I graduated high school in 2003. During that time I had been trained in many different styles of dance from tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, musical theater, clogging, and Polynesian, most of them on a competitive level.
I was an original Culture Shock dancer when Miss. Anita opened her doors for the very first time and part of the original Polynesian performing group. I was privileged enough to be trained with many styles and instruments within the Polynesian dance culture.
I am a mom to 2 amazing daughters and dancers which is how I was brought back to the Culture Shock Ohana about 8 years ago. And recently got back into dance participating in the adult tap, adult Polynesian and the Polynesian Excel Performing classes.
The art of Polynesian dancing has always held a special place in my heart and I hope to instill the love of that culture of dance to new adults wanting to learn Polynesian dancing as it was so loving instilled in me so many years ago.
We are so excited for new beginnings with the new studio location and I can’t wait to see everyone back for another amazing dance year.
