Miss Mikayla Slichter

Hey everyone! My name is Miss Mikayla and I have been dancing with Culture Shock since I was 5 years old! 

I’ve taken almost all the styles Culture Shock has to offer and I love them all, but my first class ever was Hip Hop and to this day my respect, love, and interest to learn grows for the genre more. 

I started student teaching when I was 14 and fell in love with inspiring students to learn and grow! When I was 17 I was asked to join the Culture Shock staff as an instructor and I still couldn’t be more honored to teach alongside the people who inspired me, and inspire future dancers at Culture Shock!

I was fortunate enough to attend Monsters of Hip Hop twice so far alongside Miss Trina to not only expand my Hip Hop abilities, but also my teaching style as well! I will continue to attend as long as I can! 

I also attended a makeup academy in NYC to earn my professional license. During competition time I offer a makeup tutorial to help parents and students achieve the perfect stage makeup! If you ever need any help, please don’t hesitate to ask, I love to help! 

I’m so excited to start the 23-24 dance season in a fresh space with some fresh Hip Hop moves!
