Miss Stacey Slifer

Hi! My name is Stacey Slifer and I am the head seamstress at Culture Shock. I am also Miss Julia’s mom. I have been involved with the studio for 20 years, beginning when Julia started her dance career at the age of 3.

In the beginning, I only sewed Julia’s costumes, and then I gradually added more for many dancers. I learned a lot along the way and I became head seamstress several years ago.

I love being part of the process where we take ideas and make them into Polynesian costumes!

You may see me around the studio with a tape measure and a notebook, or piles of fabric.

I enjoy meeting the students and their families, and my family and I have formed many lasting friendships at Culture Shock!
