Meet the Director
Trina Ziats (Owner/Director)
Born and raised in Southern California, Trina began dancing at age 3, training in Polynesian dance at the Betty Lee Cummins Studio and performing at events including the LA County Fair. After moving to Pennsylvania in 1995, she expanded her training to Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, and continued her Polynesian roots, eventually competing across the East Coast.
Her love of Hip Hop grew through conventions like Monsters of Hip Hop, where she trained with world-renowned choreographers such as Luam, Marty Kudelka, Rhapsody, and NappyTabs. Trina has continued her education through master classes and conventions in New York, Philadelphia, and New Jersey, always staying connected to the evolving world of dance.
Trina has been part of Culture Shock since its establishment in 2002, stepping into the role of Owner and Director in 2020. Under her leadership, the studio has grown into a state-of-the-art, welcoming, and inclusive space for dancers of all ages, levels, and backgrounds. Her mission is not only to teach dance but to build confidence, community, and opportunity for every student who walks through the doors.
